Here are the major blocks of Class C subnets from which smaller subnets will be drawn as LANs are established. The regions are not meant to be precise boundaries, but are merely established to make block routing easier.
Where a LAN crosses regional boundaries, the location of the primary gateway or router will determine the subnet assigned. As far as we're concerned, hosts in states bordering Ohio may use Ohio addresses if they are part of an Ohio LAN. Conversely, Ohio hosts which are part of a LAN in another state may use addresses from that state. Connectivity, not geography, is the key factor in determining address assignments. We will do what makes sense in each case.
