Hopefully you've now received copies of the earlier
time-nuts email about phase microsteppers.

Not digital nor delay line; the ones I've seen used
for T&F are all PLL based. Here are the specs:

Austron 2055A
    0.00001 to 9.99999 ns per step.

TST 6490A
    000001 to 999999 e-13 to e-17 per step.

Datum AOG
    1e-19 resolution, 5e-8 range.
