Hi George:
There's been some prior posts based on the experience of the poster
indicating that the FTS tubes may have better ability to hold vacuum and
might still be good after a number of years without running the ion pump.
My FTS4060/S24 has no provision or mention in the manual about using the
ion pump for storage. But it does have a useful life table indicating
the tube lasts longer if one a year it's pumped for a short time.
