I was wondering if any has written any time interval analysis tools to
run over GPIB from a HP/Agilent frequency counter? What I'd like to do
is automatically collect data to generate Allan Deviation and Phase
measurements over various intervals.

Thanks.

I use an HP utility named "Bench Link" to acquire and display
graphically all the HP5314x series function time interval included. The
53132A have a precision of 150 picosecond one shot.

For free in the Agilent site you can download or require a copy of
"Intuilink" that create a World or Excel table from counters HPIB
connection. This works only on PCI 32 bit HPIB interfaces.
