[time-nuts] evaluation of 5071a(hp)

I am new to this forum and was wondering if someone would know how to check if the tube in a agilent 5071a is any good.these units are new in box but have been in storage many years(bad idea)..is there anything to look at during start up to give you an indication of outgassing ar vacum loss? could a tube that locks now fail in a few weeks of use even if new but stored without power for years?IF anyone has any suggestions let me know ..thanks..David
