[time-nuts] Lucent RFTG Units

Hi Robert,

I have an RB unit (disassembled right now), I haven't had any time to tinker
with unfortunately.

I'm waiting for the price to fall some more on the XO units before I buy
one. They went from a high of like $250-$300 down to $150 now, I'm hoping
eventually they will reach $125 or lower since they haven't been selling.

As for Lucent documentation, you have to register on their site (and be
manually verified) before you can access their online documentation or other
tech support stuff. I registered, but never got any further than that (I
guess they don't like me). I might try again now that I'm thinking about it.

I think John said the receiver will cold-start every time it is powered up,
so it would take several hours for it (or longer depending on DOP) to gather
all the samples and finally go into hold mode. But I'm sure you have waited
long enough, or even tried manually setting the position.

I would assume the XO unit could operate entirely by itself, so until you
get it working I would try and unhook all the cables from the RB unit. Maybe
some signal from there is causing an issue with the XO. Take it one step at
a time.

Jason
