Thanks, unit is remembering last setting, and has 9 memories; problem is not
in memory or RAMS battery.

Just a thought:

Does the unit remember the last used setting after a power cycle? If not,
and the manual says it should, maybe it has a bad parameter RAM battery.
That's a common problem with older instruments.
