Several other companies made units to meet these requirements (originally
for synchronising CDMA base stations), including Datum (StarLoc) , and
Odetics/Zyfer (NanoSync).

Both HP and Trimble made GPSRs (Global Positioning System Receivers) to 
the same Nortel specification.
