Hi Jerry,

I have the same unit, the power supply works just fine as it is for me.

Make sure you do a survey-in for your new antenna position...

Send command:

:gps:pos:surv once

Just joined the list and I am looking for some advise. I just bought
a Z3801A/58503A from an outfit in China to use as a frequency and time
standard for Ham radio. I am undergoing a learning curve as I try to
get my mind around the technology. The package came with an antenna
and some software and a power supply. I have since discovered the
Z38XX software. It appears to be a Z3801A in a an HP case that is
simuliar to an HP 58503. It makes a nice looking package. My biggest
concern is that the power supply that came with the package is 24
volts and the back of the box indicates that it requires a 36 to 60
volt power supply. The unit powers up and locks on the satellites and
talks to my computer just fine. I am concerned if I need to use a 45
to 55 volt supply or just go with what I have. I have run the Z38XX
software but I dont really understand yet what the charts are telling
me, outside of the sat signal strength and pattern.

Thanks for you help.
