Is that mahogany?

Has anyone ever used 'Starboard', a marine plastic?  It looks like it might
be a candidate for HV construction.  Also 'Plexiglas'?

No softwood, but it is >100 years old, great grandparents chifferobe, we are big recyclers here. Wire from old TV fly-back transformer, circuit breaker from PBX phone system. Power cord, cap, and transformer are from the microwave. The wood base is just to keep everything stable for testing, separation of the operator from the DUT is to prevent disaster.
