If the watch is waterproof, or water resistant, I recommend you find a place where they can check this after the battery is replaced. Not all shopping mall battery replacement outfits do that.
My old watchmaker had a small vacuum pump and a glass jar. He would put a little bit of soapy water around the back and the crown and pump vacuum. If you saw bubbles, an o-ring haad to be replaced.

I have a Tag Heuer men's watch. The battery is going out as the second
hand looks to be advancing 4 seconds at a time while keeping time.
What is involved for this watch? any special tools? This will be the
third time the battery has been changed. What should I expect to pay?
