The key as you have both mentioned is good coax.
LMR400 is not heliax but its actually pretty good.
Now if we were talking some company called RS.
I can assure him there would be trouble brewing.
Maybe not at first but my experiance is the plastisizer (Think thats what
they call it)
Leaches out of the foam and seriously degrades the shield in as little as 2
years.
Guess what stuff I have never ever purchased again.
