Not until I given it a real try. :)

I now see that I *do* get strong LORAN-C style signal, and it looks like 
it's the GRI 90070 Edje chain, but the FS700 won't find the stations.

The FS700 manual doesn't say Chayka signals, but it lists these chains 
alongside the LORAN-C chains so I guess "Western Russia" at GRI 80000 is 
the one to look for.

I have not grabbed a good pulse-train to make qualitative measures.

It seems to do something useful at least, it just doesn't lock up 
properly just yet. Maybe the learning curve and some tweaking.
