I have a "3d" (stereo) microscope. If the part has legs, I can solder 
it. It may not look pretty. Sailors will blush at my commentary when 
things do not go right.

I haven't heard of skillet reflow, but I do know of toaster oven reflow. 
In fact, that is one of the uses I have in mind for those MSP430s (oven 
controller).
