[time-nuts] Sad news Ulrich Bangert, source code

If at least those that directly profited from his work would agree to send
an old fashioned Condolence letter I will be willing to send a more
comprehensive letter but not ask for any thing. Again may open some doors. They
would not be able to overlook the global inflow of letters and be made aware
of his contributions. Went to school 20 Km from his home.
Some one local could follow up.

Hi Didier,
I agree. It should probably be one of the German time-nuts, or at least
someone fluent in the language. The sooner the better, since I assume someone
will have to go through his home and sell, toss, or recycle everything
there.
Bert -- is this something you could look into with all your contacts in
Germany? Asking for someone's PC could be an awkward topic, but it would be a
loss if the source code vanished. You probably know which time-nuts are
German. Perhaps keep this off-list, but some private emails would do the job.
Said -- since you traded a lot of email with Ulrich, perhaps you can also
help.
Thanks,

Tom,
I do not have access to the source code. I am afraid someone in contact
with the relatives should try to get the source code to Ulrich's utilities
and their approval to publish it.

Didier,
Source code too? I think that was the concern.
Several of us wouldn't mind the source code to Plotter so we can keep it
going.

I have downloaded his tools as currently available on his web site. I
intend to make them available on my web site unless I hear otherwise from someone
authorized to talk on the behalf of his estate.
