A good point, David. I just picked it up to play with and thought it would
be helpful to have the manual or a schematic.

I did see that article but it did not have much more information than that
it was for WWVB and the new price was $99!

 From an ad in Radio-Electronics June 1980, it mentions that it 
phase-locks to the carrier.  I expect the new format of WWVB will give 
it fits.
