Is the code someplace where we can see it, like github or source forge?  Hard to get help if not. 

How does it work?  I would guess it's all event driven. 

One debug technique is to rethink the design. I just read here that there exists a tboltd that is a multiplexer for the serial port.   Maybe use that so LH does not access the serial port at all.  Likely that is what most users would want anyway.
