Walter if you can get it back to the basic clean oscillator thats great.
Since you have access to a lot of older equipment you might have old video
amplifiers are a fine way to get some more outputs. Most of the 6 MHz amps
actually go higher and the later amps were typically good to 30 MHz. I just
suspect you may have access to those types of amps.
Depending on the quality of the amp there may be sync clamping and it was
always possible to disable that. There were also high end eq that could be
adjusted to raise the frequency.
Certainly not the lowest noise but may be pretty handy for at least now.
