I mentioned some time ago that I had posted a document to Didier's
site that discusses various distribution amplifier architectures. It
has now been moved into the "general population" and can be found at:

<http://www.ko4bb.com/manuals/download.php?file=02_GPS_Timing/4_App_Notes_and_Articles/Tutorial_Distribution_Amplifier_Architectures_STEINMETZ_rev1.pdf>

or by searching for "distribution amplifier architectures" using the
search box at:

<http://www.ko4bb.com/manuals/index.php>

I also posted a mini-tutorial on the '390 dual decade counter/divider
(74HC390, 74LS390, etc.), which I put together for a time nut who is
new to digital counters. It explains the basics of how a '390 works
(but not advanced techniques using the "Reset" inputs) and shows
connections for using one half of a '390 as a divide-by-10, and using
both halves as a divide-by-10 and divide-by-2 (5MHz and 1MHz from
10MHz). It can be found at:

<http://www.ko4bb.com/manuals/download.php?file=03_App_Notes_-_Proceedings/Tutorial_390_decade_counter_operation_and_applications.pdf>

or by searching for "390 decade counter operation".

Best regards,

Charles
