They are designed as timing antennas. That normally puts them in a “lots of RF” environment. 
(like a cell tower). They should have some filtering in front of the preamp and a preamp that is
fairly good for IMD. There has always been a lot of debate about this or that one *actually* having
improved performance in these respects.
