I agree with the good Dr. Kirkby here. When someone needs help with their
first high-end standard or counter, they should be able to find the list via
Google. That is more important than avoiding ruffling someone's feathers.
(Also, I don't get the impression the seller is truly annoyed, just tipping
his hat to the more frugal list members.)
Information is valuable only to the extent that it is accessible.

I believe that's not precisely true; what they don't like is when you use
your feedback rating as a promotional tool outside the eBay sandbox. They
also consider it verboten to reveal a user's personal information (real
name, email, etc.) in a public forum without the user's consent. Finally,
they don't want people scraping their site to aggregate auction listings
with those from other auction sites.

Also, note that this seller has excellent overall feedback (1 negative out
of 768, if I remember right).
