By doing that, you also limits the target area for people that should be nice
to have here to find the place. I would not be here for starters. I think there
is little gain over the loss you have. I would say no to make the archives
private. There is good info there for people outside this list and the very
few times people need to talk shit about someone, maybe on-list isn't the best
idea anyway. Attract quality people, have quality discussions and enjoy life.

That's at least my 2 öre.
