[time-nuts] Request for help in evaluating the performance of a gpsdo/timer/counter

For some time I have been working on the design and implementation of a
low cost, medium performance, gpsdo/timer/counter.
Some fully functional samples will soon be available and to some extend
I'm able to analyze the  performance of the gpsdo and the timer/counter.
The single shot time resolution of the counter/timer is 40 ps and with
its 10k samples/s linear regression, the performance of the
timer/counter is comparable to my best clock sources and counters so I'm
unable to assess the true performance of the counter/timer.

To overcome this measurement limitation I'm hoping to find 1 or 2
persons, preferably from Europe, willing to help me with measurements
and other experiments.
Important prerequisites for adding value are:
- Availability of a clock source(s) with a 1s ADEV well below 5-e12 and
able to generate both low frequency (such as 1 or 100Hz) and high
frequency (such as 10 MHz or up to 6GHz) test or reference clocks
- For comparison a timer/counter with 20 ps or better time resolution
with resolution enhancement and a gate time at least in the 10ms to 10 s
range.
- For evaluation of the limited performance GPSDO (1s ADEV is about
1e-10) , a clear sky view active puck or better GPS antenna (single band)
- Willing to do firmware updates when new software is available and
occasional assist with specific testing requests and provide feedback on
the user interface and other usability aspects.
- Interested to experiment with a new test device and communicate with a
limited group of other beta testers.

If you are willing to help, please reply only to my email address (see
cc:)  (for sure not to the time-nuts list) listing (some of) the
equipment you plan to use for testing.
If selected, you will receive in a couple of weeks or months one sample
of the gpsdo/timer/counter, which you may keep free of charge after the
testing, and instructions on how to provide feedback.
If, after receiving the sample, you appear to have no time to
contribute, I will kindly request you to return the sample on short
notice so it can be send to someone else as only limited amount of
samples will be available

Erik.
