[time-nuts] ITU-T SG14 meeting in Montreal

Fellow time-nuts,

I though I would drop a small informal report on things ongoing in ITU-T 
relating to synchronization.

As usual, a range of updates to the telecom standards and use of PTP 
Telecom profiles.

There is interest in further enhance ePRC-B performance, due to 
availability of high stability cesiums.
This also triggers a discussion on how we set these limits, and I think 
there is room for an informal text to discuss that.

Work on timing to datacenters will be studied, which is interesting how 
that is included into ITU-T domain now, alongside the telecom focus.

The topic of optical clock comparison will also be started. This reflect 
on the fact that this is already existing, so now it may be time to 
standardize it.

I naturally continue my work on ePTS, which is timing over 
non-timingsupporting packet networks.

Spending two weeks in Montreal has been very pleasent, soon to be ended. 
The Q13/15 group is small and friendly, for most part competitors work 
well together to support each other to produce good standards.

In addition, good food and drinks is had, plenty of sideline discussions.
