[time-nuts] VT100 Terminal: Symmetricom TimeSource 3500

I have a Symmetricom TimeSource 3500 of unknown origin that appears to boot
correctly, by LED action, and operates the Rb 10MHz output, but is perhaps
undisciplined by GPS.

I've read through the manual extensively, and have copied the craft port
pinout to the working serial port on an ancient Windows XP computer running
Hyperterminal VT100, 9600 8N1.

I've tried adding an unnecessary null, and tried access as well to the
DB-25 rear serial connector, null in and out there too, without success. No
joy in PuTTY on a modern PC either.

I've done plenty of terminal into other obsolete gear of this era, and
never had these problems with this much effort. Could someone reach me who
has had success on this model series?

Opening it up, there doesn't appear to be any factory reset switch or any
memory battery to pull here.

I may be able to try something Wireshark to the ethernet port, but I don't
think they intended that access for control on this model.
