Hi Jeff I don't actually work for URSA NAV. But am familiar with whats
typically operating.
There are 3 sites.
Georgein George Washington. (Have fun looking that up) 2MW.
Fallon NV 400 KW
Montana don't recall the city 300-400KW.
The old system may have been one of the west coast chains and they would be
stronger.
You pretty much have mountains between you and the transmitter.
They have been funded for at least another year and have been operating for
3 years.
Caution. God knows if the funding might be clawed back. Its really a drop
in the federal budget.
As far as I know the testing has been to check signal encoding formats and
effectiveness.
No published results that I have seen.
They will be back after the air con gets fixed.
I am on the east coast and the signals do show up here typically from
10pm-7am.
Pretty weak, but the austrons do a great job of tracking and logging.
Hope that helps.
