Hello Time-Nuts,
I know it's been a VERY long time since the BBB processor replacement for
the 5370, but I'm investigating a problem and need a little help.

My problem is that I am recording phase difference between two very stable
sources and very occasionally get a sizable jump in the data for one period
(stock 5370B's). This happens a couple of time a day. I have tried
averaging the data and still get the same behavior. I have tried another
5370B and it behaves the same way. I'm hoping it is something to do with
the data collection (TimeLab) through an ethernet connected (NI) HPIB bus
controller and the HPIB interface of the 5370B.

To get a big chunk of the hardware out of the way I wanted to try the BBB
5370 processor replacement and collect data over its ethernet connection.
Problem is - I have not managed to get TimeLab to talk to the 5370B in that
configuration. I know that you have to connect using port 5370. And I was
using the "Acquire from TCP/IP streaming server" mode.

Any help would be appreciated. Do you have to put the 5370B in talk only
mode first? And how would you do that.

Thanks in advance,
