Are you using the BBB board? When I did, every so often I'd get a bad
reading. I kind of worked out why, but fixing it would require punting
more of the acquisition code into the PRU. I went back to the original
processor.
The other problem I had was that with the Prologix Ethernet GPIB,
communication would fail after a while. (Network traces indicated it was
an ARP problem.) This was fixed by actively triggering each reading by my
acquisition program.
This was quite a while ago...
